Welcome Fans!

:iconcronoplz: Welcome to the Crono Club :iconcronoplz:
A club dedicated to that other Hero of Time; the spiky haired, time traveling, katana wielding, lightening throwing, strong and silent punk from 1000 A.D. in the outrageously awesome game called Chrono Trigger.

About
So as I was searching DA for clubs one boring day, I discovered that although a fan club exists for Chrono Trigger, Magus, and Lucca, no such group exists for Crono (if one does, it was never converted to a group). Really. The most epic character in the entire game lacks a fan club. WELL NOT ANYMORE.

It's Crono around the clock in this here club. The reasons for his being awesome are listed briefly in the welcome section. But hopefully, we can amass a collection of art that better conveys how cool Crono is.

Joining and Submitting Art

To Join: Simply click the "join" button at the top of the page. The end! Even if you don't plan on submitting art, you should still join!

Submitting Art:
For art that features Crono, send it to the featured folder by simply clicking "submit art" in top right corner of this page. All Crono Art goes to featured.

For Chrono Trigger Art, that DOES NOT have Crono visible somewhere it it, go into the folders and submit it to "Crono-less Chrono Trigger Art." This is Crono's club, but he doesn't have a problem sharing the spotlight occasionally with others.

Rules for Submissions

1.) Nothing overtly sexual, no yaio or yuri, no creepy fetish stuff. If you want to display Chrono Trigger art of such nature, The-Chrono-Trigger accepts basically anything. Blood, gore, and language is fine as long as its censored when it should be.

2.) Art must be of acceptable quality! No poor quality, uncolored sketches, no lineart that you colored but didn't draw, no photos unless it's of something you made.

3.) As of now there is NO LIMIT on the amount of art you can submit. If and when the club gains a substantial number of members, a limit may be imposed.

4.) Have fun and don't be afraid to note me KT-245 if you have any trouble. I go on DA at least once a day, so anything you submit will be posted asap.

Just comment on the page or note the club to become an affiliate (as long as it has something to do with Crono and his game).

Favourites

I am pleased to announce the first contest for the Crono Club:

A Timeless Holiday Season!

Dealine: February 28th(EXTENDED DATE PLEASE SOMEONE ENTER THIS CONTEST)

Depict a holiday or winter themed scene from some time period in the Crono Trigger world.

    - Since this is the Crono club, Crono must be in the picture somehow. However, he does not have to physically appear.

- Obviously, the scene must depict Crono Trigger characters in the context of their world. The catch is that there must be something festive going on, or an obvious indication of the winter season, preferably with the characters being affected by it. (for example, if you draw a snow scene on Death mountain, a bear minimum to meet the requirements is to change the characters cloths to match the season) Be as creative as possible with this! What sort of holiday festivities might occur in Crono's world?

Prizes

Right now, all I can offer is a piece of art from myself, KT-245, but if anyone wants to volunteer to give drawings or points as prizes please say so! Other than that you will earn the glory of WINNING!

Send entries to the club and let me know when you enter! I will begin posting links to entries when we get some.

NOW GO! DRAW!

Thank you for adding us to your gallery! My husband and I are the Schala and Magus cosplayers on the chessboard background by B C Valdez. Honored to be here and glad we found more fans of the games!

In addition to Crono of course!!! If you like Magus, Yakra, Ozzie, Flea, Slash, and Mystics/Fiends in general then this might be worth taking a look at [link]

That is a really interesting read... I admit I mostly skimmed it but I may come back for a full read when I have time for it. You make a well thought out and well researched argument from what I read.

The amount of allusions and meanings people find in Chrono Trigger are AMAZING. I found one person who staunchly argued that Chrono Trigger had a strong atheist message, and that that Lavos was religion/God- seriously (I can't agree, for the record). It's really neat to have such deep conversations about a video game.

Thanks...that is understandable I do such myself often anymore since I have been in college again. Ya I did my research alright ;)

This is true. Out of old Square games I can talk about as much I would say Xenogears and maybe FFT (with the whole St. Ajora and twelve zodiac stones = Jesus and the Twelve disciples from hell version. Imagine a whole faith system being actually the opposite then the truth of which it is "base" on. Pretty mess up!

While not square the xenosaga games make for some in depth conversations as well as the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Yes... the writing of the older games is pretty deep, and the allusions aren't lost on older gamers like us.

IGNORE THAT LAST COMMENT. I HAD MISREAD, THINKING THIS WAS A CT-IN-GENERAL CLUB, NOT ONE SPECIFICALLY FOR CRONO. *changes it to fear that Crono will get pissed and Luminaire my ass*
